About Department

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (E&TC) plays a pivotal role in shaping the digital and communication infrastructure of tomorrow. With rapid advancements in wireless systems, embedded electronics, IoT, and 5G technologies, this branch offers a dynamic and future-ready engineering education that connects innovation with real-world applications.

The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide a solid foundation in electronic circuits, digital systems, signal processing, analog and digital communication, embedded systems, VLSI design, wireless networks, and microcontrollers. Students also gain exposure to emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence in electronics, satellite communications, and optical fiber networks.

Equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, simulation software, and modern testing tools, the department emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical implementation. Through hands-on projects, mini and major assignments, internships, and industry collaborations, students develop strong analytical and design skills critical to the electronics and communication domain.

Our experienced and research-oriented faculty members mentor students with a focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and multidisciplinary learning. Technical events, workshops, industrial visits, and expert lectures regularly enrich the academic environment.

Graduates of the E&TC program are well-prepared for careers in telecommunications, embedded systems, consumer electronics, IT, defense, automation, and hardware design. Common roles include Communication Engineer, Embedded Systems Developer, Network Engineer, R&D Engineer, VLSI Designer, and Electronics Hardware Specialist.

Major Minor Course list

  1. The concept of Major and Minors at B.Tech level is introduced , to enhance learning skills of students, acquisition of additional knowledge in domains other than the discipline being pursued by the student, to make the students better employable with additional knowledge and encourage students to pursue cross-discipline research.
  2. Eligibility Criteria and rules to award Majors
    i) The Student should have Minimum CGPA of 7.5 up to 4th Semester
    ii) Student willing to opt for majors has to register at the beginning of 5th Semester
    iii) The Student has study advanced courses from the same discipline specified in the curriculum amounting to 20 credits. The students should complete these credits before the end of last semester.
    iv) Student to opt for the courses from NPTEL/ SWAYAM / Coursera /other MOOC platform as recommended by concern BOS
    v) If the credits of NPTEL/ SWAYAM/ Coursera /other MOOC platform courses do not match with the existing subject proper scaling will be done.

    Student complying with above criteria will be awarded B.Tech (Honours) Degree
  3. Eligibility Criteria and rules to award Minor Degree
    i) The Student should have Minimum CGPA of 7.5 up to 4th Semester
    ii) Student willing to opt for minor has to register at the beginning of 5th Semester
    iii) The Student has to complete additional courses from other discipline of their interest, which are specified in the respective discipline amounting to 20 credits
    iv) Student to opt for the courses from NPTEL/ SWAYAM / Coursera /other MOOC platform as recommended by concern BOS
    v) If the credits of NPTEL/ SWAYAM / Coursera /other MOOC platform courses do not match with the existing subject proper scaling will be done)

    Student complying with above criteria will be awarded Minor Degree.
  4. It is expected that all courses declared under Majors and Minors should be completed by the students through online platform. If courses are not offered by the online platform in such a situation student is permit to complete the course(s) in self study mode or offline mode offered by University
